Honestly's Journal, 31 December 2011

I finually joined a gym. Yep, I did it. My first public workout was 7:00this morning. I Loved it!! Got so board with my treadmill at home. Got Itunes cards for Christmas and some new ear buds and that was terific. Still, I just didn't wanna get on that treadmill again. I went for 13min and was done. This morning was great! Took me awhile to learn how each machine worked and how to set it up for me. Next time though it should come alot quicker. Was trying to be mindfull of not overdoing it. I want to go back either later today or at least tomorrow. I feel I am at a place where I need to start working on specific body areas. My abs! Everything needs some attention and it was fun going from machine to machine but did concentrate on the abs. Exercising has been my biggest challenge. With the cold dark winter months stareing us in the face I knew it was time to get serious and proactive. Such a pleasant surprise too that the others at the gym were helpful, kind and free of judgment. It helps too that my confidence level is higher than I ever remember it being. Things are definetly changing for the better and I am ALL over that! In all honesty though, I never would have believed I could do this or be where I am right now. I really have no good reason why it is working like it is or where this committment I've got came from. I know I know, gift horse/mouth. What I do know for certain is that I am not doing this alone. The good Lord is responsible for my success and I am sooo very gratefull for His strong hand in this. My youngest went off to college in August(our 5th to do that), I started in September. It is my time now. It's my time to take care of me. My time to focus on me. Trying to decide what beach I'm goning to be lying on in May for my birthday. Tan and thinner, watch out world!
