my main concern is my addictions, which aren't like cocaine or heroin thank goodness! i am just addicted to java chip Starbucks ice-cream and very good chocolate bars, preferably fair trade now that I know that they use little kids as slaves to grow cocoa beans. How greedy can you get! I also like sr. center brownies and chocolate chip cookies. I am serious about losing a few pounds this year. Come on, how hard can it be to lose a few? I have Ken to help me. I know I have to really want it myself, but addicts go to rehab because they need that extra help.

Thought that I would stop by to wish you a Happy New Year. If I eat something with sugar I get hungry sooner and get cravings for candy type junk food big time. The things that have helped me combat cravings is making sure that I drink enough water, eat every so many hours and get enough fat and protein along with enough fibery carbs. I know that you are not on a low carb diet but what if you tweaked your diet a little bit to fit you and help deal with the cravings that you are having. I don't know how much fat and protein you are getting but at the Vegan and Vegetarian group there was a thread about protein a couple of weeks ago people there were saying 40-50g per day. Depends on the person. I forget how they calculated it. Might be something worth looking into and see if it helps. Starbucks is expensive, good but expensive. :)
