Happy December 2nd!

Happy anniversary to WB as well...today was our three month anniversary, and we had a great time! We went out to see a local play, and had a really good time, especially considering the play was free. He really liked the funny parts (there was a really great part about a gardener, but the whole time you think she's a porn star, it was brilliant), and we just had a great time! Ah, I love live theatre!

Anywho, now to the important stuff (the sex and intrigue? booooring)

Breakfast was a lot heavier than I planned, with lots of protein. Protein, yay! Calories? Ewwwwww. Lunch was even worse-- they were making both mac n' cheese and mac n' cheese bites!!! They were amazing ;-;...but they really pushed up my total number of calories consumed. I still burned more than I ate (never thought I'd be enjoying my crazy high BMR that comes about as a result of being so fat) but I ate the wrong stuff. Yes, I did still eat a good protein (tuna) and some veg and fruits, but I ate far more cheezy carbs than I did roasted veg. (The vegetables they make in the dining hall are often under cooked, but still.)

I only had about 300-400 calories left for the day after lunch, so I kept myself busy and away from food by working on a group project for almost three hours, then walking to and from the library to grab an important book. Unfortunately, after a long day of hard work, WB was hungry, and he had a hankering for some Burger King.

Because we still had an hour until the play started, we decided to go grab something to eat-- at this point, I was pretty hungry, it having been around six hours since I had last ate. Usually, I'd just get whatever fish combo meal was available and a large soda, but! Today, I looked up the caloric values of different foods and decided to get a veggie burger and nothing else. Yes, I probably should have gotten a salad, but most of the salads at fast food places come with meat on them (which I don't eat, except for fish), so I made the choice to grab the veggie burger. After I had finished, he was still eating and we were still in the restaurant.

Now here's the bit I'm proud of:

I could have easily bought something else-- a slice of pie, a thing of fries, a soda, etc...but I didn't! I acknowledged that I wanted something else, but that I wasn't really hungry, and that to get something now would be a waste of both money and calories, not to mention it would set back my progress. Not gonna lie, it wasn't exactly easy. I'm used to eating because I'm bored, or because it'll taste/feel good, so turning down a piece of fast food is hard for me...but I still did it!

So yeah, a small victory, but a victory none the less. I'm starting to really learn how to tell when I'm full through all this-- if I really want to spend the calories, I have to think for a bit, which makes me consider how full or not-full I am.

(It should be noted that I am not going back and editing these posts, as this is mostly just a personal diary. I apologize for any grammatical errors, or plain confusing structure. Back to your regularly scheduled program!)

We then went and saw the play, which was excellent, then congratulated some of my friends who were in the piece. Afterwards, we traveled back to WB's house, where we watched a bit of TV. WB played a bit of his new game, and liked it (at least, I think he did lol), although it's pretty tough and involves quite a bit of strategy. Later, well, we enjoyed our anniversary XD...

That's about all for December 2nd :) Time to write for today!
