So I don't want to take away from my excitement of my 5 things I realized are different now journal, but I did have to journal because I finally worked out!!

Having been sick with the flu and then pneumonia, it had been 29 days since I worked out last.

So I was working out on the treadmill. I usually walk at a base of 3.0mph. Tonight, 3.0 was fast - but 2.8 was okay. I did hills on the treadmill (me controlling so I could go back to flat when I started breathing harder and thus coughing). The treadmill said I burned 227 calories in the 25 minutes I was on there, so that's a pretty good first workout in my opinion.

Friday should be my next workout because tomorrow night is games night at work - we'll see what 3 games I end up playing, but it will be fun regardless! They're having Greek food, so food for dinner will be interesting, but I have structured my day to have lower calorie foods in the earlier part of the day to accomodate for a meal which will probably run me about 700 calories!!

This week hasn't been easy. But it's getting easier with each day. Keeping my calories around 1,430 (food recorded on MFP) isn't just an easy thing given last week was around 2,000 each day, but I can do this!

So, I read your last entry, & I read this one, & I hope you know how amazing it is that you are committing yourself to working your way back into your regular exercise program. Who is this person??? And look at you making decisions to work around activities instead of using it all as an excuse to "start later" or something. I fricken love you. ;)

LOL... yes, this is a weird thing for me - before, being sick would have been an excuse to fall back into my old habits, but not anymore! :) Of course, having my hubby stay on track while I was sick also helped because then he's a good influence on me now!
