I've kick-started my efforts to loose weight again having hovered just about the 172 to174 lb mark for about a year. I'm very Encouraged by the efforts of my all my fantastic buddies on FS. In spite of lots of exercise, including working out 3x a week and dragon boating 3 to 4x a week in spring and summer, I haven't been able to drop the weight. I'm looking at the low carb diet again. Through various experiments with my diet, I know I don't tolerate dairy products and am allergic to coconut products so that limits what I can eat, but I think I can work around this. Basically, I'm back to "the no white stuff diet" which includes no dairy, no wheat products or rice, potatoes (boohoo), no sugar, limited salt (aka low carb diet). I'm just at the beginning and have already dropped about 2 lbs in a matter of days, which although I realize is primarily water, sure is motivating and makes me feel good. Anyway, it's CANADA DAY!! (HAPPY BIRTHDAY).A great day for new beginnings and celebration. I'm paddling with the club to our provincial legislature this evening to watch the fireworks. YOOHOO.
