Found these the other day only 15 calories a serving and they actually taste really good. The entire bad is 30 calories and it was so hard to eat an entire bag. I used progresso light soup for the sauce, the entire meal was 135 cal with a salad.

I've never thought of using them in Italian dishes, but Carbona, or sautéed with garlic and veggies actually sound delicious!! Very interesting to see how other FSer's use them, that's so cool!!

I'm going to have to try these! My husband is diabetic, so good for him too.

I looked these up on Amazon and it appears this particular brand seems to get much better reviews than many others. One review mentions that if you like pasta al dente (which I do!) that you'll most likely enjoy them. I need to search around and see if I can find this brand locally. Thanks Bruce!

Yes they are very good and I could not find a pasta that was under 200 calories a service. I found them at Winco and Safeway and Walmart says they carry them also. They were in the vegan refrigerator section, at Winco they were $1.80 a bag which I thought were great.

Thanks Bruce. We've got almost as many Safeways as we do Starbucks - seems to be one or the other on every corner.

I love Shirataki noodles and I eat them pretty regularly. They are really good, easy to make, and help you to get your fiber. I like to cook mine up in the grease of whatever meat that I am cooking. It is SUPER good with either cut up Italian sausage or cut up strips of bacon, but any meat or veggies can be added. This is my substitute for all of my pasta needs. I personally like the angel hair type over the spaghetti type, and would recommend you reach for the angel hair style if you are worried about the texture. And remember to squeeze out the extra water after you rinse them. They are good...even my hubby and kids will sneak a bite when I am eating them.

Thanks for the recommendation, Bruce. I see they carry them at a few stores around here. I'll give them a try!

Thanks Mousy1109. Have you ever used them in a cold noodle salad? I confess that's really my big pasta weakness.

I used house foods shirataki noodles. They come in fettuccine, spaghetti, and macaroni noodles. They were very good and didn't have any funky taste. Zero net carb I think...

I haven't had them in a cold noodle salad yet. I am going to have to look into that and give it a try!
