More review of my old journal entries: I was Dec 7, 2014 when I wrote:

On the clothing front, wife ordered me a pair of 33 waist jeans from American Eagle and they fit comfortably, even though all my khaki's are 34 waist. I will weigh in one day officially. Been checking at different times and fluctuates between 195 -200 lbs.


So now, a little over a year later, I am just under 180 lbs and those same jeans are my ONLY jeans... and I can pull them off without unbuttoning the waist! Took the Mrs. shopping today and found some Levi's 501 Red Tag jeans! I have not seen them since about 1990 (I had graduated to relaxed fit jeans by then. My entire pants wardrobe in college consisted of 5 pairs of 31 x 32 jeans in varying degrees of "fade". I was 165 lbs. SO today I grabbed a pair of 32 x 32's and headed to the dressing room. I got them on and they fit comfortably everywhere but the waist... but I did get them buttoned! Not too disappointed as they turned out to be the dreaded button fly jeans! I will give it a few months and try again... maybe the 31 x 32's will fit by then?

Was not a total loss... I got two workout shirts for less than $20, and they were size M! I was in XXL at my heaviest!

such an Inspiration to me sir because almost all of my clothing will not fit me anymore but I could fit my stuff from third grade on in sixth grade and I'm in ninth and can't wear anything and I can only fit into 3 pairs of jeans and 5 tops. I felt sooo pathetic and wanted to give up or become an ana's girl (anorexia)

Welcome aboard Kirsten! Learning about simple, real nutrtion now will pay huge HEALTH dividends for you in the short term and the long term. I was able to share that simple truth with my own teenaged daughter and steer her away from the typical teen "starve myself til I am thin" mentality. Losing FAT, not just scale weight, should be your goal. How long before your banquest?

@Kirsten, CK is so right! And you are a beautiful young woman. You used to be a little girl, but now you're a young woman, so it is normal for your body to change. The girls who are slow to develop feel pretty behind the other girls and feel awfully bad about that. I too hope you can be your healthiest self and know you look and feel good. Good luck finding a pretty dress that emphasizes your best features! That's what every woman wants and deserves for a banquet!
