2 pounds lost this past week! 8 days of good logging and then 2 cheat days but today I get back on plan! Despite the cheats, seeing the weight lost is a great motivator for a longer positive eating & logging streak this time around.
I went to an endocrinologist weight doctor who did a body composition and analysis via a small electrical current. Turns out my basal metabolic rate is actually 1422 kcalories daily to sustain my weight! Thanks FatSecret for giving me 1600 to lose weight and me diligently keeping at that for weeks. Wasted time!
Beware: rough math of what I should intake follows. Take it with a grain of salt and don't judge it too rigorously.
To maintain my current weight I would intake 1,422 kcal x 7 days = 9,954 kcal a week. 1 pound of fat = 3,500 kcal
So I'd ideally like a calorie deficit of 3,500 kcal a week which would allow me an intake of 6,454 kcal a week.
6,454 / 7 days = about 922 kcal intake a day. So I will shoot for 1,000 kcal a day and adjust FatSecret accordingly. :)
