Rckc's Journal, 15 January 2016

So, I just tried a new product: Quest Protein Chips. 5g carbs, 21g protein, 120 cals. I've been searching for a LC cracker to buy or make but haven't had much luck. I saw these at the grocery store and decided to try them. They are baked and kinda crackerish. I had the BBQ ones and I thought they were great. Will work with my meat and cheese and dips. Wish they were cheaper tho (isn't there always a down side). 1 bag at the store was $2.89. Assorted 8 pack for $21 on amazon. Or 8 bags all the same for $17. Need to check the health food stores in town to see how much they are or if they even carry them. I've been told by several health food stores in the area (Des Moines, Iowa) that LC has kinda passed and everybody is gluten free :-(

i had the sour cream ones and they weren't too bad, but i agree they are airy and crackerish, but the taste of the base plain chips, something was off in the taste? but yes they are pricey. the only lc cracker i have come across was made on a youtube video, is grated cheese made into crackers the girl who does the videos is listed under mind over munch, she has some great ideas and recipes, ive used it alot for new ideas. like the banana chia chips were great, and the cloud bread is good also. she has a whole series on 2 ingredient foods (im kind of lazy and like simple easy recipes lol)

Even better if you can learn to live without chips & dips, crackers, cookies, etc. as they are still unnecessary calories. Especially for kids, where these habits are unavoidable for them as they are not in charge of buying their own food.

No, as long as I stay within my cals and %'s I am happy. I think everyone has to figure out what they want in THEIR quality of life. A life with none of those things ever is no life for me.

Rckc, bodybuilding.com has them for 8 bags for $17. I have dealt with them before and they are a great company.
