Debbie Cousins's Journal, 19 May 2024

Dang, I wrote a post this morning and it didn’t go through. Here we go again! I WAS able to push through the severe back pain a couple days ago, and have now completed 12 consecutive days of walking 6 miles. Back has continued to hurt, but I’m pushing through. In other news, I have Shingles! I don’t have to have surgery on the skin cancer on my leg. They are treating it with 21 days of a chemotherapy cream which should make it very angry, but that means it is working. I’m not supposed to go in the pool (for which I paid $375 - we’ve gone every year since my grandson was a baby. He’s 8 now). Im also not supposed to have sun on it, and the pool opens for the season this Saturday! I HAVE to take my grandson, but I guess I won’t be able to get in the sun or swim!

Once you can get into the water again buy a long sleeved surf shirt and pants. The material has sunscreen properties built in. AMAZON. The shirts are called rash guards

No surgery is a good thing, no swimming is not! Glad your back is better, hopefully the pain will go away completely soon. It seems you have lots of challenges, but you manage to keep moving forward.
