Ugh why does my health app say I’ve burned 2400 calories already?! I never get that many for the whole day! I haven’t done anything today either, it’s my day off. Ugh.

I changed it to default but it’s still high for this time of day. Maybe because I slept an extra 2 hours than normal? Oh geez.

Oh I didn’t sleep with my watch on. We will see tomorrow if it straightens out. For Pete’s sake. All it takes is for something like this to throw me off.

Sometimes the apps mess up; it’s like my Apple Watch doesn’t track things properly and neither does the health app on my iPhone

I’ve had stomach problems for over a week now not eating much solid food lately if any at all; mostly taking fluids with electrolytes; have notified my primary and my GI drs of the symptoms

Maybe that includes all your calories and not just exercise?
Who burns that much from voluntary exercise, as opposed to extremely active jobs plus voluntary exercise? Lol. Maybe that much total though, in a day, if you are active enough.

I’ve stopped paying too much attention to what my health app says as lately it’s been randomly wayyy under reporting my calories for the day- which is super confusing bc apparently my move calories and everything will be normal, but the app will say I burned under 1,200 calories in the entire day even tho most days it’s more around 1,500-1,600… rather frustrating for sure 😐

Off topic from health apps, but online weight-loss forums are full of (even people who lost a lot of weight and probably know what they really eat) lying about how little they eat lol.
1,350 calories *maintenance* just because you are short, if you don’t have a health problem that causes that, and you aren’t 2020-level sedentary? Yeah right.
There are personal trainers who are insanely active and claim to only burn 1,700 a day…with hours upon hours of activity, for maintenance, and they are not underweight, and don’t have health problems that slow metabolism. Even if you are short, at a healthy weight, and biologically female, that isn’t much for a personal trainer who is extremely active, unless you are maybe very short as in 4 foot something.

@Laine, pretty true. From what I’ve heard people tend to underestimate their caloric intake by up to 20% when they aren’t weighing and tracking everything meticulously.

I just go by how I feel, I feel okay now but I know I felt great at 152 last year so I’m ok w that number. 144 is where I lose the overweight category lol. According to the “professionals “.
