Breaking up the monotony of a salad everyday, i made some homemade hummus; i dipped and ate thru the hummus with a pound of sweet bell peppers, cucumbers, carrots and tomatoes. In place of tahini i added a tablespoon of horseradish and 2 tbsp of hulled sesame seeds. It was the best hummus i've made yet! either that or food just seems to taste so good now, since i only eat between 12 and 6pm.

Since i began the Ray Cronise-inspired fat loss method, i've purposefully omitted nuts, seeds and fruits. My reasoning was to minimize simple-sugars and fats. Today i decided i would add sesame seeds to the hummus. There are many benefits to Nuts and seeds over oil, which is a processed excess of fat more than it is a food.
--Nuts and seeds release their calories over hours not minutes.
--The nutrients & essential fatty acids in nuts and seeds are encourage the body to burn fat for its energy needs. (seeds especially with their omega-3s and anti-cancer lignans)
--When eaten with other nutrient-rich foods, they increase the absorption of phytochemicals and antioxidants from those foods as well.
--Researchers are finding that nuts and seeds help you lose weight by satisfying hunger and suppressing the appetite. Oils do not...they are a junk food, an excess of calories that the overweight person should avoid like a nasty habit.

Careful though - just an ounce or less is plenty. Remember, when it comes to processed and refined food: the fat you eat is the fat you wear!

Staying cool during the day and evening is going pretty well, especially now that the ambient temperature outside is now in the mid 50s - which is perfect for keeping the fat burning active throughout the non-eating hours after 10 pm and before 12 pm the following day.
