Weight is going up and down, but I am following an eating and exercising plan fairly well and overall it is working. I have lost fat and just feel better. More energy. But, just as I have experience when I try to eat well and lose weight, the cravings for sweets is returning. The craving is psychological because my low carb diet virtually eliminates hunger pains and I eat 2400 cal/day. I miss the comfort of cake, but I dread the consequences. Friends say, "Just have a piece, just moderate." I have no cake boundaries. No cookie boundaries. I have tried the just have a piece approach. One day, one piece. Next, two. Next, eat until I am full of candy, cake, whatever. I have done this many times and remember some of the details of "I can have a piece" The urge is very compelling. I cannot stop thinking about sugar. I fight it for a time, then boom, 10,000 cal of Snickers and Almond Joys in a half hour. I fight the urge with exercise and distraction, but....
