I found this (vegetarian) butter chicken sauce at Costco. It’s only 130 calories for 1/2 cup. I sautéed onion and broccoli in a non-stick pan, then added precooked shrimp and simmered in the sauce. Plated with mashed cauliflower. 322 calories total! 😋

That does look great unfortunately it’s too loaded with sodium for me. Per 1/2 cup it’s 410 mg. Just like those better then bouillon it’s 680 grams of sodium for 1 tsp. I wish they would make this stuff low sodium.

It was delicious! I bought it in a whim for my hubby, but it came in handy last night as I was cobbling together dinner. I should probably pay more attention to sodium, but right now I’m just trying to consistently track and keep my daily calories at around 1200. 👍

Yea a few year ago I couldn’t believe how much faster I lost weight when I watched my sodium intake. Also for me my body doesn’t need all that sodium. It increases blood pressure, retains water etc but I praise you for the 1200 I have a hard time keeping under 1500. What plan are you on for 1200.

@Myan No plan, I’ve just learned that 1200 calories per day is a sweet spot for me for weight loss and I don’t get hungry! I am a pescatarian, but eat vegetarian about 80% of the time. I gained a lot of weight the last 18 months - about 30 lbs 😳. (Moved states, new job, got engaged!) I intended to track my macros more closely, but quickly learned that I’m better off in the short term simply counting calories. I will advance to macros (and sodium! and fiber!) once I feel I’ve mastered tracking calories. 😀

Oh okay on the FS on here it has me at 1500 I was wondering if it was a plan or do you just change it manually. Yes I agree everyone has to do what works for them. I do know it is harder to lose the older I get lol I’ve never had a weight problem but last year I retired and quit smoking put on 20 lbs I’ve never been this heavy even at 9 months the pregnant so I am stumbling. We got this . I’m trying to get this off by my next birthday in August👍😊
