FINALLY staring to have time to work out again. After 1.5+ months off for moving across the country. I could not have predicted all the many things that would go wrong that would end up taking my time and attention (car problems, new apt problems, cable company problems, insurance problems, dog illness, you name it, it happened), but finally all the life admin is starting to thin out and become a little more manageable. Just in time for the holidays lol 😆 But it feels great to be lifting and always a little sore and tired again. For many years I struggled with insomnia, exercise like cardio helps but nothing is as good as weight lifting for sleep (for me). Yesterday I did a 3.5 mile run/walk at the beach and an arm workout, today I did some rowing and squats. Feeling good and tired.

I like to view forced exercise breaks as giving my body a rest. A never ending exercise routine is hard on the body.

@outerlimit - totally, we do need breaks sometimes. It’s way easier to handle if you can just roll with what life hands you and take a break when you have to, so that’s a great way to look at it

@ocean girl - thank you! Yes the beaches around here are very nice. So few people in the off season, I love when I get the whole beach to myself like that 😊
