was my birthday. got on the scales afterwards. big mistake. 4lb gain. this morning now 1lb up

Your weight fluctuates during the day, if you eat 2lbs of food then weigh yourself before its had time to digest and exit your body you will weigh 2lbs more. only weigh once a week, same time ideally first thing in a morning after a movement.
