Good morning buddies! Still holding on tight to my intake and exercise, hopeful for onederland this Friday at weigh in.

Since leaving all of my money at home during clinicals forced me to stay on track with my intake I decided to do the same with class last night. I left all money at home and packed my snacks. Guaranteed to keep me out of the vending machines and away from a lunch break run to mcdonalds. Actually I still went on a mcdonald's run with my friend just for the conversation time, but when she asked if I wanted anything I politely declined.

I have been making a solid effort to get my steps in daily. The people I'm in a steps challenge with make my effort look a tad pathetic. I told a buddy I was going to put my fitbit on my dog so that maybe I'd have a chance lol. Monday I went on an hour long bike ride, which turns out is an excellent calorie burn, and yesterday I did thirty minutes on the elliptical at the gym while my daughter was at volleyball practice. It is certainly a juggling act when it comes to balancing time invested in studying, clinical prep, house work, and activity. Then most days I have to incorporate the kids into my chosen activity which usually is them on bikes while I walk, or family bike rides. The weather likes to thwart my efforts by raining, constantly. My yard is a lake, it's gross and I hate it. Anywho, I'm making it, despite the obstacles. Averaging >10,000 steps/day. Where there is a will there is a way!

I hope everyone else is doing well, have a wonderful day buddies!

You're doing a great job and I'm pulling for you to make it into onederland by Friday. The step challenges are fun, we all have to just do what we can do and while it's a "competition" hopefully the main thing is the motivation to keep us mindful of being active. And your work on the bike or elliptical probably doesn't show up in steps to the degree it would for the same effort expended walking running. Hope you have a great day!

Thanks everyone! I just finished Jillian Michaels shred it with weights level one workout so if nothing else I got some solid strength training in today. Weather says zero percent chance of rain today, but it's literally been raining all morning lol. Don't know if I will be able to get out for my steps or not, but I'm not going to beat myself up over it too much ;)

Love Jillian DVDs - they are solid with good instruction and have levels you can advance through.

I certainly love the competion, especially during a workweek as I make more of an effort than I would usually do. Jillian is tough, but you got to love her.
