My computer became infected with a virus an I was weeks and weeks getting it fixed.
A few weeks ago I had a light go off in my head. After years of working with the va's nutritionists, the move program, counseling, portion training, etc... I was eating breakfast and I realized I was satisfied yet only halfway through the meal. When I was making breakfast I was very hungry and 1 cup of cereal seemed laughable so I used 3. Surely not 1 egg so I made 2. A whole banana not a half.

Time for new thinking. Don't plan your meal based on your level of hunger, base it on small portions. If you are still hungry after you can still add a piece of fruit or more veggies, etc..

I needed to stop eating to feel full and start eating to no longer be hungry which is probably half as much. It is also important to realize the difference between hunger and craving. Hunger is needing food for sustenance while Craving is wanting a specific food because it is a favorite treat for the senses. When you're hungry eat something and if you crave something have a little bit of it, just watch your portions.
