Well I worked out, and it didn't kill me. Even though it's Day 2 TOM, I feel really good... which is odd for Day 2.
I ended up working out on the treadmill, walking for 4 mins 30 seconds and then jogging for 30 seconds. It was totally reasonable, and I don't feel dead, but I think the thing that made the difference is that I didn't try to walk too fast in between the jogs. I had been trying to walk faster so I could say I went farther, but I do think that might be the wrong approach. So I had been trying to walk at 3.0 miles/hour, and tonight I walked at a pace of 2.8 miles per hour. A small decrease in my walking speed, but let me jog at a pace of 4.5 instead of the former 4.3. I don't know if it's progress, but I feel good, and some other days I felt totally dead, so I count that as a win.
I also did some free weights on my arms, so that's also a win, because it's been a while, and I want to make sure I fight the arm flab - I call it the "Grandma Arms" (okay, not all grandmas have them, I agree).
So tomorrow's weigh in day, I still have my pre-assembled list of excuses in case I'm up, and I'm hoping I won't need them!
I'm back on the wagon!
