Food lessons learned today from eating in the cafeteria
1. Don't drink my calories - the 110 calories of orange juice are simply NOT worth it!
2. Resist the pancakes - it was about 200 calories for 1 pancake with a small amount of syrup... WAY too much!
3. Get the meat from the "hot" station, and then hit the salad bar, even if the plates are hot, it's a lot healthier to have warm salad than fried stuff!
Tomorrow I'm going to try eating some different stuff - perhaps whole fruit or yogurt... of course I'm not sure on the yogurt, but I think it would be healthy to switch it up.
Other than that I survived the first day... So far, other than someone being grumpy about being 10 minutes delayed for lunch, they seem to be doing well... we'll see how the rest of the week goes!

So happy things are going well. I love that you made your observations and wrote them down. You still ended the day rather low considering all the temptations. Well done!

How long will you be there, Brandy. Sounds like you're doing marv. I just noticed that you had a 3lb loss this week. Could you just die? That fantastic. Congrats, my friend.

Thanks Kendra! @ Heather - I'm here just until Friday. It seems like forever until I get home! And yes, I was totally shocked about the 3 pounds! I'm hoping I manage to handle this week well... especially with all the unknown food.

You are on top of it girlie! Looks like you are making well-informed choices...doesn't it feel great to have control over what you decide to feed your body? You're going to do great!

Writing down stuff like that is always a great idea. It gets them out so you can see them, instead of having them bounce in your mind.
You are doing so good!
