Not as high as I expected, was a very stressful day and night and usually stress raises my BS.

Still not a bad number....I tried a bulletproof coffee this morning. They say not to do this if you take insulin so since I don't take insulin or meds, I am trying it. It was delicious but it is supposed to affect BS in a big way. I'll let you know how it goes. I slept well last night...but not standing up(LOL).

Yes, please let me know about the bullet proof coffee, but I don't think I will be doing that since I am on insulin still. I was thinking about making some fat bombs to use as a snack before bedtime. I didn't try the standing up sleeping yet, but I was up enough without sleeping last night. Hate those sleep deprived nights (I Love my sleep) LOL

I read that eating "fat" something before bed is better than anything else for diabetics as fat is a neutral. Both protein and carbs can turn into sugar for those of us who are more prone. I also am looking into fat bombs as I, too, seem to need just a little something before I go to bed...probably a habit I need to change but right now, I feel that I can't. Still trying to get all the other dishes going before I had one more to the stick...(Chinese acrobats referral, in case I lost you.) Hope your day goes well...

Thanks Gwen, I will let you know how the fat bombs work out. I am wondering if the reason I am not losing weight is because of the proteins being turned into sugar (fat) by my traitor liver :-) Every day I wake up is another gift from my Savior, I try not to squander them.

I am searching for a base recipe for fat-bombs, one that I can tweak and make unique. Looking for one that uses coconut oil, cream cheese and butter, not peanut butter or almond butter. do any of my buddies have one like this?

I googled "fat bombs" and there are several sites listed....many with the ingredients you are looking for....
