I’m in that zone too. I had patients who are athletic and their HR can sometimes go down to the low 30’s and they’re perfectly fine. The lowest my HR went was 35 and I was sitting down in my office. The only time I would worry is if I have chest pain and dizziness. Otherwise I’m good 🙂

While prepping for my hip surgery in December the nurse asked me if I’m a runner. I almost choked laughing and said at +200lb we’re absolutely not doing any running and very little other cardio too. She said “oh”. I asked her why and she explained my resting heartbeat was 48. It’s normally around 50-53 so while maybe she didn’t expect it I knew it’s on the lower side. Can’t wait to start adding proper cardio again soon 🙏
