So. The fourth was eventful...and filling. I stayed away from the alcohol, but still managed to put pretty much everything else in my mouth. I did a pretty good job on portion control but I still overate by a considerable amount, and I'm having just a bit of trouble getting back on track the way I'd like to be. I just have to keep reminding myself that holidays are rare occasions.

Anyway, I decided not to do my standard weigh-in this week, since it was supposed to take place on the morning after the Great Face-Stuffing of 2009, and I know that a "gain" is just going to frustrate me.

Consistency is what matters. I don't diet on holidays, and I don't ever plan to. One day of high (even ridiculously high) calories is not going to ruin your plan. Just like one day of dieting won't help if someone eats crap the rest of the week.
