My main form of exercise right now has been walking. I'll walk a good 2 to 4 miles in the evening with my dog. And then come back and walk the little dog for about 30 mins. I found this time of day is best for me because I crave junk food so bad after dinner. This keeps me away from the kitchen, and by the time I get home my craving is usually over.

Great idea-- and dogs are always happy to go out for a walk, right? Mine is, anyway, she'd go walking anytime I'm willing to go. Keep up the good work!

That's great. When I get asked about cravings, I tell people the same thing. Do something else and it will pass. And getting in a good walk is a fantastic way to wait out the cravings.

Good for you! Do you get the kids in on it too? Maybe not the longer walks, but they'd probably love the short walks too. Or love the first half and them whine the whole way home. That's how my nieces usually do it. :-)

Whatever works!! I tend to want to snack around 7:30 every night, and I know it's more out of habit than actual hunger, so I'm trying to break that cycle too. Evening workouts help me control the snack monster too. You're doing great!

I also do my workout in my evening after dinner, helps me not to think of having a snack.

Woperchild when I bring my smaller dog they usually go with me because they like to walk him :) in the summer they ride their bikes and I'll walk around the park while they play.
