first week of life change, I call it a life change because a diet in my mind is a temporary term for trying some kind of gimmick or temporary situation. In my mind a diet has a start and an end. I must think of mine as a life change. there is no end for me. I am a diabetic and taking 2 kinds of insulin plus Metformin, and now Gabapentin for pain and Losartan for high blood pressure.This week my glucose has been very very good. last 7 days I my average glucose is 121 (+-40). my highest was 168 and that is becuase I forgot to take my insulin. on the flip side, i am now dealing with low glucose. I have had to lower my night time from 47 units to 40 and morning time from 45 to 40. I need to make an appointment for my endocrinologist to work on this. for now I will watch really closely. I fell of of the diet twice this week and tonight we are going to a restaurant with friends so I will again have an issue. I will not get mad at myself when I slip as this is not a diet but life change. I plan on continuing eating low cal/carb meals. I want to lose 2 pounds by the end of next week.
