This healthy lifestyle is not easy I won't lie, the number of times I've fallen of the wagon is honestly disheartening. One would think I'm not serious, I partly want to give up on myself but then I think of the amount of diabetes and hypertensive running in my family and it honestly scares me....so here I am, giving it another go and refusing to listen to the inner voice screaming I should just give up.....and on the bad days, I just look at this community and it gives me the strength to go on

I used to have the same reaction each time I fell off the wagon and took a lot of falling off the wagon to realize that the wagon was not working for me. Reconsider your method and if you'd like to know about my current method where I eat dessert every day even when I'm eating only 1200 calories, then you're more than welcome to whatsapp me, but alternatively, please find something that works for you, because I promise, if it's difficult and depressing, it's also not sustainable. Good luck ☺️

This could be a blessing or a curse but you should check out the book "Cant Hurt Me" by David Goggins, I think it'll help you on your journey.

Keep at it! Sum of small efforts day in and day out. Progress, not perfection. Small daily disciplines, will yield results. You got this!

I agree with everyone, and you right it can be challenging in the beginning, but you are supposed to enjoy looking after yourself. It is better to be able to make the choice of what you want to eat yourself instead of being forced to cut out because you could die… that is what diabetes does to you. I remember how my mom would long to eat certain foods when she wished for it, but could not, even foods that one would consider healthy she had to control, because of diabetes… it took away her freedom to choose. I would much rather be able to make the choices myself and know that I can on some day indulge or spoil myself without the fear of getting ill because my body can no longer hold… balance is key and while you have control make every effort to do so…🦋🧘🏽🙏🏽
