Coming down with a cold. Sore throat and sore glands in neck. Planning to drink twice my usual water, go through a bag of cough drops, and rest up for a day or two.

Met with VA staff again yesterday. They are pleased with my recent progress and encourage me to keep it up. They did suggest I add a source of protein to my minimal breakfasts, be careful not to drop too low on calorie intake (2500 cal/day), and cut down on sodium to nearer the reccomended 2400mg/day. Looked through my history and am removing the dill pickle from lunch (1760mg) and will watch out for cured meats in particular. Planning to cook up some boneless skinless chicken breast and store in refrigerator for lunch sandwiches instead of packaged lunchmeats to also reduce sodium.

Switching to Smart Ones or Lean Cuisine and morning walks has been a big part of recent success.
