Recently received the vegan cookbook Straight from the Earth, written by two NON-vegans, as a gift. I normally shy away from cookbooks b/c I almost always end up using the Internet instead for new recipes. What I pleasant surprise! I cooked a vegetable barley stew that I loved, and a portabella mushroom burger recipe that I thought would be a disaster but that my husband absolutely loved. (That, of course, isn't much of a surprise, b/c he loves EVOO, onions, mushrooms, and avocado, all of which made up the burger.)
Can't wait to figure out which recipe I'll do next!
