Selutz1984's Journal, 14 May 2009

Things are not going too great over here. My son was very sick for most of this week. (He's doing much better now! thank goodness) as a result I haven't gotten a workout in in almost 3 days. Combine that with a very difficult period (TONS of cramping/bloating), my pending 5-year anniversary trip tomorrow, and being extremely exhausted from staying up all night with the sickie, it all equals me feeling huge and making bad eating choices!! I have been craving chocolate like crazy and I ate potato chips today for the first time since I've been dieting!!! AAAAAHHHHH! Now I'll probably gain weight this week and that will be super depressing. I can feel a fatalistic attitude starting to kick in, and I don't want all of my hard work so far to be for nothing. :(
I could definitely use some encouragement if anyone has any to give. I want to get to my goal weight so bad, but right now I'm feeling totally icky and de-motivated.

BOOOOOOO!!

Thank goodness your son is feeling better. I know things are rough right now, but try to stay focused. I'm having a rough one, too-just read my journal-ack!-we can do this!

The best thing anyone has told me is "Tomorrow is brand new and a clean slate!" Forget the what ifs of gaining weight and try to make a difference tomorrow. Make it a goal to stay the same instead of thinking of gaining. Everyone has a bad day or week. Overcome it and make it a better tomorrow. Good Luck and I am glad your son is feeling much better.

This will pass. If you have to cheat then cheat. It's just one day. It's not the end-all be-all. You're allowed to have non-perfect days. It'll be okay. Take it one day at a time and get right back on it. You can still have a loss, and if you don't, you will have a big loss next week. No worries. Don't give up. You've done so well so far. Don't let it go to waste.

So glad you son is feeling better, that is always hard when our little ones get sick. Okay. lose the fatalistic attitude, don't let it kick in. We all have bad days or weeks and we all get back on board. Tomorrow is a new day and you will do this. Might I suggest you get the junk food out of the house or at least buy things for the family that you do not like. :-)

Selutz, you can do this -girlie!! It's already tomorrow right now and you have the opportunity to rock it! A day at a time. Today your only focus is having the best Friday you can have and treating yourself fabulously. Happy 5-year anniversary and have such a great trip. I'm pulling for you.
