I AM STILL HERE !!!! I know I was thins close to giving it all up but I am hear. Sticking with it! Have got a nasty Sinus infection and looks like might be coming down with a stomach bug ( the joys a being a preschool teacher)...Anyway I will weight my self only on saturday.. not going ot look at that darn scale!
I have added legumes. and Apple per day. Dropped the bread Anyway never liked bread. Ate 3 caramel girl scout cookies today... just desert.Puffin whats a myotape ???? Ok did a google on Myotape .. and found it... thanks for all the advise. I hope I am not driving all you guys crazy... But I know I can beat this weight things....

Where are you in the plan? Did you ever do 2 complete weeks of phase 1? Cause grabbing those cookies sounds like you still have cravings (or that would be me with cravings, anyway). Even a small amount of straight sugary wonder can mess with this. But, I do get that sinus infections can mess you up on their own. Chronic illness is my middle name (I'm thinking of changing it legally). Pain, feeling wiped, not sleeping well, the depression from being sick, all drive the need for carbs. And the bummer is that they will temporarily make you feel better. Georgia

ditto puffin...did you do a phase 1 correctly - no sense in moving to phase 2 if you did not do an accurate phase 1...from the sounds of it...you need to read the book, start phase 1 - do it correctly with NO cheating - than move to phase 2 by adding one item per day per week...cheating during phase 1 does not work...

I did Phase one then moved to phase 2. JUst I have not over come my craving... I know you are surposed to get over it after doingPhase 1 N really I did the whole 9 yards of phase 1 but I just eat thsi once ina while.. its crazy but will do Phase 1 again after 2 more weeks on phase 2 if I do not lose any weight then

You never got totally over the cravings? Check your condiments/prepared foods for extra added sugar or processed carbs (modified food starch). Try not doing ANY artifical sweetners for the first week (some people are sensitive to those). Is your sinus infection gone? Do you have any other pain issues? Pain preempted my first attempt. And the big one, are you eating enough? 3 meals and 2 snacks every day for at least the first week. Eat before you are starving. Georgia

during your phase 1 you did not do it properly with no cheats...you had more than once sugar items...it has to be done with NO goofs and no once in awhiles

I would suggest seriously using your food diary. Just take proper notes during the day then come and fill your food diary when you can. Be totally honest with it. The answers will be shown in your nutrition breakdown. When you restarted this plan, I tried letting you know I thought you were eating too many fats. Are you an avid runner? How much do you really run in one week? All of this makes a difference and we can't really tell by just seeing a journal letting us know what you eat. There are so many different types of string cheese and so many different types of burgers or salad. I hear your frustration but we can't really help you until we see your actual dietary food diary. It will show us patterns and what sets up your cravings and when you lose and when you gain. If you're serious about making this happen, get serious about your food diary. you can do it, it's worth it!

these are from your posts: I saw the chocolate brownie in the fridge that I had bought home on friday from the teachers appreciation luncheon!!! I took two large bites until I had to give in to my nagging mind N put it right back in the box .I think i will eat it one bite a day.. I ate a whole slice of chocolate cake out of depression today. Ate 3 caramel girl scout cookies today. "not2fat"...this is three times in a few days that you journaled about, that is not a phase 1. then on the 19th you say you need to get "back to the diet" so your obviously was not following it...then talked about easter being your downfall - then in your next journal you say your diet was followed poorly and you mentions pizza and cake...so you really never did do phase 1...on the 27th you ate two bowls of ricotta, cocoa and splenda.... i post this to help you see just how easy it is to convince ourselves that we are doing ok...when in reality we are not...hope this helps

you guys are such great great friends ... but I ate all that after the 2 weeks of my phase 1 so I thought it was ok. The south beach dose say to eat the ricotta cheese with coca n splenda. ??? I have been eating that every day!!!! is thatt eh cause. Also I have 3 cups of coofee in the morning this is the recepie ( 1/4 cup 2 % milk, top it with water 1 tsp instant coffee And 1 packet splenda) is that teh problem?? please don't tell me to give up the coffeee.. I wake up at 5 am to make lunch boxes and pack all the school stuff.!!! anyway if i really have to give it up let me know.. I also think Imluvved is right I am consuming a lot of fat. I thought it was ok as I grilled the pork chops ( I ate a lot of those in Phase 1 but i ate it with salade . Also had a lot of Bacon n eggs for breakfaset. Then ate a lot of nuts for snack. I go to the Y but have not gone this last week as I have this sinus infection n I cannot even breath. I do the Body pump class and the RPM class ( cycle) I also run on the threadmill for 45 minutes ( but i do intreval running.) I hope u guys can help me. We go the beach this weekend ... I was hoping i cout get into a nice swim suit.. but I think i shall stay in my shorts... Also not to gross out anyone but being big chested makes me look fatter!!! Wish I had a flat chest! After we pay of my daughters pump if i have money I shall maybe go flat ( just kidding)

We'll all do what we can to help ya out as we can. Even though Ricotta is allowed... you mentioned two bowls of it. It's kind of like saying, "cheese is allowed but you don't want to eat a whole brick of it." You had a gain the day after that ricotta. This is exactly why your food diary is so helpful. You can look and see exactly what causes you a gain and what aids in loses. I don't think your coffee and 2% milk is a bad thing. Remember though that milk does have sugar. This is why a food diary is so helpful because maybe your sugars are still pretty high? Please, please,please start using your food journal. We can really help you out in big ways if we can see that nutritional breakdown. When I was losing weight...I couldnt eat pork. you would see several times in my journals during my loss that I mention that. Besides the fat, it's the sodium that effects me! Hang in there and keep at it. You'll see results. In the mean time, journal, journal, journal and use that food diary! :-) We tell you these things because we CARE.
