Okay... so I'm not trying to freak anyone out... but...
I was watching the biggest loser tonight (yes, I know, not realistic weight loss, but..) I noticed that some of the people who lost a lot of weight had tons of ugly hanging skin...
I'm getting freaked out... what if I work so hard to lose weight and then I have all this ugly extra skin leftover?
Am I the only one freaked out about this?

Nope. I'm freaked out too. I follow a lot of the former contestants on FB and/or Twitter and some of them have had surgery (a couple of the girls had boob jobs too. ROFLOL). I told hubby that depending on how gross it is and how much I will have to end up "stuffing" in my jeans, I may have to have it done myself. :(

I keep replaying back the Simpsons Episode where Homer loses a lot of weight, and to deal with all the excess skin, he uses a big clothespin to hold back all of his extra skin!

Two words: STRENGTH TRAINING. You can minimize your excess skin by working on backfilling the space with muscle. It takes a long time. So does fat loss. Work on both...starting YESTERDAY.

LOL... Kstubb... you're awesome! I've heard that helps... I just need to figure out a routine or training schedule I can do... any suggestions?

Join AmethystM's weight lifting challenge. She's shared lots of good links in there & I added a few too. I post the details of my strength training in my journal (usually a day or 2 afterward, but they still get posted) as far as particular exercises. There's also a particular way I do them since my goal is muscle definition. I won't go into detail now but you are welcome to PM me if you'd like more specifics. :)

After seeing alot of people who lost weight, its just one strength training and toning up. And how you loose it. If you exercising and losing it slow you should be fine.
