I woke up singing Macy Gray's "Beauty In The World" ironically on this grey Wednesday Autumnal (I love that word, for some reason) morning. It's a great song for the rebounder, Folks! I'm in love with my rebounder these days. (Is it possible to be in love with a piece of exercise equipment?) It's excellent for your lymphatic system (a commonly overlooked part of the body!), really helps those healing from chronic diseases and is super gentle on the joints! NASA said, “Rebound exercise is the most efficient, effective form of exercise yet devised by man.” and it's so much fun to boot!! I try to spend at least 20 minutes a day on mine (in addition to the other running/jumping/dancing etc.). I put on some fun, lighthearted pop music while I bounce around and have a blast! (Nicki Minaj works perfectly in this regard, FYI.)

Tonight, I feel like making my vegan bean "sausage" rolls in cabbage leaves with some portobello mushrooms and onions. They're amazing! I use a modified version of this recipe:

Spicy Vegan Gluten-Free Homemade Italian "Sausage" Recipe

I remove the nightshades because of my allergy (the paprika and chili peppers, tomatoes, etc.), the Worcestershire Sauce, liquid smoke and use arrowroot instead of xantham gum because I also avoid GMO's and substitute a bunch of fresh herbs instead. It's a great recipe if you're looking for something that can be substituted for sausage and is "meaty", but want to reduce the amount of processed meats in your diet. Most store-bought "fake meats" have so many harmful chemicals in them and are chock full of common allergens, thus making them a big no-no for those with food sensitivities. Instead of wrapping them in foil, I steam them in blanched cabbage leaves and they're awesome!

OK, that's all for today, my gorgeous friends! My to-do list isn't going to do itself, I'm afraid. I must get crackin'!

Ciao for now!

Thats cool about "rebounding". I had no idea until I googled it. I had a "rebounder" (mini trampoline) at one time. I have no idea what happend to it. Sounds like a fun workout! Keep at it, your inspirational!

The rebounder really helped me flush out my lymphatic system while my body was grappling with my auto-immune disease. It was also great because I was still too heavy to engage in other activities like running and it works for ALL fitness levels. Even my 72-year old mother uses a rebounder!

My friend wants to buy a rebounder...can I ask where you got yours, what brand it is, how much it cost? Thanks!

Well, I started off with one made by Urban Rebounding. I think I got a good deal on one from Ebay. I paid about $100 for it, I think. They're about $140 on Amazon. It definitely lasted a long time and I ended up giving it to my mom, which she still uses. It's survived so far, a total of at least 3 years with daily use and shows no signs of dying any time soon! But I wanted to upgrade to something fancier/less noisy (the Urban Rebounding one has metal springs that can squeak, FYI, and the one I have now uses silent bungee cords) so I forked over the big bucks for a Bellicon, easily regarded as "The Mercedes of Rebounders". I paid a small fortune for it (I think it was around $900 with shipping), and I don't recommend getting one that fancy/expensive unless you have plans to definitely use it for the long haul. It is like bouncing on a cloud in heaven, though!

Thanks so much for the info! I'll pass it on to my friend and it will help her get started looking. She really needs to do something. =)
