MrsRatfire's Journal, 07 August 2014

I fell off the tracking food wagon in July. I started again today! I ate the right foods, and cooked low calories, I love the food and had no desire to change. However, I obviously ate too much! I have posted weight loss, but it was much smaller than I could have done. It started with a weigh in, that I did not record, that had me 5 pounds up. Real pounds. It was up even in the many days after. I just could not face it, in my mind, until I got that off and went down again.

It all seems silly to me now. I have written many posts on weight goes up and down like the tides of the ocean and to just blow it off. Normally, I do. Why did I let this one take up a residence in my head and then sit there like it was waiting for mail?

But, I did. We all do it and it is a human as breathing in and out. The old me would have been permanently thrown and in a chaos of why I can't lose weight no matter what I do! But in the big picture, that is never true.

I used the food key many times to look up calories and calculate but could not face food entries. But I managed to turn that around and learned a great lesson. You win or learn, no recriminations! Feeling great, glad I am tracking again and look forward to the many days ahead!

Glad you are tracking your food. I am sure it is the way to success. Planning what to eat to fit your calories and carbs and sugars. Give up old foods that just aren't healthy. Finding new ones that are better for you. I was shy to track my foods, but thought why not? If anyone wants to know what I eat, they can see it now. Good luck!
