So... I don’t know whether I’m having a break-through or on the edge of developing an ED... 🙄 I have come to the realisation that food doesn’t excite me anymore, I’m not specifically looking forward to eating or meals, much less “what” I eat. I don’t have cravings for anything specific, and more often than not, eat because I’m hungry rather than because I’m craving something. I always put a ton of effort in my meals - because I do OMAD - so I don’t feel like this because I’m bored with my meals... but I actually thought this morning: “Is this how “normal” people feel about food?” In that case - I think I’m moving in the right direction... and it’s a breakthrough. What I’m afraid of is that I’m starting to have this “mediocre” feeling towards food, and it might, with time, develop into a negative relationship. I would ultimately like to nip that in the bud. What do y’all think?

I’m thinking it’s a good thing, it’s no more, “ living to eat but eating to live.” It’s awesome not to think about food 24/7. So IMO, you’re heading in the right direction 💖 as long as you’re eating healthy and hitting those macro and micronutrient goals. #lifestylegoals

My fear as well, but I agree 💯 with Fatgirlslim, we eat so we can live, it’s a way to refuel and keep alive, it shouldn’t define who we are and be the centre of our lives, it’s good to enjoy food cause some things taste divine out there 😅 but always be mindful of why you eat ( dietary needs, health) and also the negatives of not being mindful of what you, there’s a lot of skinny-fat-inside people out there, and thats where the real danger is.

I've been thinking about you since I saw this post yesterday. it's a double edge sword isnt it. we've spent so much of our lives letting food control us. but by getting control over our eating habits and then losing so much weight... the food still has control... it's just different now. I don't have any pearls of wisdom for you here. all I know is that you've worked so hard to get to this point and maybe you are starting to unconsciously separate from a relationship with food that has been such a prominent one in your life. maybe your goals are shifting and maybe it's time to reassess what's important in this journey of yours. if you are really concerned about it developing into an ED then definitely seek out some support from a dietician or psychologist... because a lot of our healing and long term sustainable change also comes from within.. as I've said in a few posts. mental health is as important as physical.

Not getting cravings can simply mean that u eat whole good foods. Cravings are a chemical imbalance based off of a nutrient deficiency. You'll know when u heal ur mind though. Tracking and control will ease up. Times u eat won't matter. U won't weigh consistently. Or purge after a treat or 5.

shereen donede is my hero....she's done so well....& like her I don't want to be on a "diet" but watch carbs and sugar....what has driven me vack is I've had a sore wrist since December and have tried everything.....my thoughts are to much acid....so cutting out sugars & starches is my goal right now.....

Ah #les I'm nothing special I assure you. I also have my struggles and I also have to push hard to keep it up... But I've lived the affects of a life that was taken from me too early because of obesity. And I choose better for myself ❤️ happy though that my story can be some inspiration... But find something in yourself that drives you and it will totally carry you much further!!!
