morela12's Journal, 09 February 2011

It's been awhile since i last journaled and i want to make sure that i have a running record to look back at to see my progress and how far i've come.

It feels like i've been doing this forever! It's crazy to think that it's been less than two months. I've lost roughly 12 lbs, more if you consider my highest weight last year, which was 231!!!! OMG!

Of course i wish that i could be at my goal weight already. I don't even know what i'll feel like when i get there. Will it feel normal? Will i feel like i have a whole new body? I sure hope so.

I used to hate the fact that this always takes so long to lose weight. But now i'm actually enjoying it, which is crazy to say! I'm getting used to losing one to two pounds a week. As long as i can keep that steady, i'll eventually get there (and within the year i think!). I'm scared that it might slow or i plateau and then i'm not even losing any weight during the week. But i know that if i keep eating healthy, this really shouldn't be possible, right??

So i'm sticking with it, started jogging again, and trying to workout at least 3 days per week. I'm drinking a lot of water and enjoying myself...i want to get under 200 lbs sooooo badly! Only 12 more to go!

Great to see you post again! Congrats on sticking with it so far, you can definitely get to Onederland if you keep at it. Be aware that eating healthy does not protect you from the inevitable plateau. And hitting a plateau is only a bad thing if you allow yourself to be derailed by it. They always pass if you keep following your program, & can pass even faster if you switch something up, whether it's your calorie level or your exercise. And your weight loss will slow at times. That's just how it is. And that's not the end of the world either. In the past 8 months I've had several slowdowns & plateaus, but the big picture is still very pretty. ;)

Thank you SOOO much!! I didn't think anyone was reading my journal, so it's nice to see someone is following. :-) Great motivation! You're definitely an inspiration and to see your progress is one of my motivations (honestly!). Thank you for the kind words about plateauing. It's scary to think about, but eventually the scales have to get moving again. Congrats on your journey! Thanks for reading and being such a motivator.
