new beginnings2014 's Journal, 03 April 2014

Well, I noticed I haven't recorded a journal in a while. Well, things have been going pretty good. I'm still on track with eating right and working out. I've actually just recently have gone up on the treadmill. I was just going a steady 2 mph and now I've been at 2.2 mph with incline at .5 but I did that for a few days and thought that it wasn't making any difference. Now I'm at a 1.0 incline at 2.2 mph and that gets my heart rate going and I sweat a lot. One good thing about Oklahoma is right now its pretty humid and wow after the treadmill and weights I'm soaked in sweat. LOL
That makes it all the better for me because I know I'm burning off this fat. This Saturday I have my next weigh in along with measurements. Can't wait to see what I'm at.

Today I started a water aerobics class which was an hour. Then after that I did a half mile of swimming. I feel GREAT! So I figured since the class is Mon-Thur I will go on Mon, Tues and Thur and also still do my swimming and the treadmill. I was only doing the treadmill on the days I wasn't going swimming but I said hey why not do both on the days I swim. I know when I push myself too hard and I will slow down when I get there which I haven't yet because I've been going at this slowly and working myself into it this time around. I have my rest days on Sunday and Wednesday's from swimming but I will still do the treadmill well, kind of my boyfriend told me at least take one day of the week to let my body relax which I do. I went from working out 3-4 days a week and now I'm up to 6 days a week.

I'm getting more and more excited about the surgery. I have done all test meaning, chest x-ray, blood work, cardiac, and pulmonary and all have been cleared for the surgery. I have to go see the dietitian and have my psychological appointments next Friday and then I'll have 2 more dietary classes followed by meeting with the surgeon after to see what weight I'm at. I have 2 months for the final appointment.

I have also stopped taking advair for my asthma and haven't had any issues with my asthma at all. Working out and getting healthier has been really helping. I wish I decided to do this earlier but now I am and I will never go back to being heavy once I lose all this weight!!!!
