this weekend i stumbled upon a book WOMEN FOOD AND GOD... (Geneen Roth). What I have been thinking about alot this past weekend has been, A) my lack of sustainability on a diet these days. what am I running this race for? because I know being thin isnt the cure to my unhappiness, I am not happy with SOMETHING... and I use every chance I get to stuff my face and then go on this viscous cycle of binge/diet self hate...to get THIN because THIS WILL MAKE ME HAPPY...WRONG
ya know what I am truly tired of ... my self defeating thoughts...my CONSTANT thoughts of FOOD it consumes EVERY minute of my day and night if I am not eating when am I gonna next and if I am eating, is it right is it healthy, blah blah blah... I dont want to think about food any more
because old habits are hard to break I am going to still try to keep the log going of what I ate but I am attempting to stay off the scale, maybe in a month lets see how this book plays out...
I'll keep ya posted.

Sounds good....I think keeping track and mindful of what we are eating is a good idea, and I would always make myself weigh every Saturday so I couldn't say, "wow, how did those 20# just appear?" and at least make a conscious decision...unlike the few handfuls of peanut M&M's I just ate...
Being thin isn't going to make us happy, but eating healthier and being more active will make us feel better. Good luck, sistah!

I was just looking at your weight history chart. Did you notice that the *less* you weighed in,the *more* your weight went *higher* on the chart compared to the *more**lower* your weight went *down*? keeping a log of what you eat is a great idea because then you can see the foods/drinks that help you AND the ones that dont then make the desired changes. "Old habits *are* hard to break" but everytime we break one the next one is easier. Here"s to wishing you the best! BTW,cant wait to hear about that book :D
