Finished both my birthday books! The Body Book by Cameron Diaz is really good! It is scientific, witty, informative, and some parts I felt were written just for me. (Occasionally I think she was yelling at me to take better care of myself :) The Dash Diet Weight Loss Solution is interesting. The diet consists of eating lean meats, lots of fruits and vegetables and getting the right amount of dairy. It eliminates soda, fast food, and most processed food. This should be common sense, but somehow reading it made more of an impact. I'm excited about trying some of the recipes and following the plan. This book has a 2 week "jump start" that eliminates all carbs and fruit, not sure if I am going to take it to that level as I feel like fruit is important. We've had salads with dinner every night for the past week and Friday I will do our grocery shopping focusing on real whole foods. I've only managed to work out on the weekends the last 2 weeks. I can't wait for the subzero temps and ugly white snow to go away. Yeah I am over winter and the beautiful snow has lost its appeal, lol. Hoping getting some healthy eating going, exercise when I can will help make me feel better. Been in a bit of a depressed funk (the weather is not helping any) and need to dig myself out of it!!
Happy Humpday :)

Sounds like some good reading! As for the eating, you have to do what works for you, and baby steps is the right approach. Yes, looking at all the snow we've got and looking forward to spring as well!
