So I got my Xrays back at the Chiropractor. It showed that my spine is messed up in every direction that it can be. At least my discs and vertebrae are still healthy, but my spine is all outta whack and it's pinching the major nerve in my neck. He said it is most likely causing my back, neck, & arm pain and most likely my jaw and sinus problems as well. I am going 4 times this week and 3 times the next 2 weeks then more xrays to check my progress. I am nearly pain free for about an hour after the adjustments... I haven't been that close to having no pain in 7 years. Said it would probably take 3-4 mos to get me back where I should be.

Maybe this is why I have been down all along and let myself go like I did for so long. When you are in pain every day and you never think you will get better, you let everything else in your life suffer. NO MORE. I'M TAKING MY LIFE BACK!!!!

I have been doing pretty well following my diet. I have been stocking my cupboards with healthy snack items... cans of V8 juice gives me some vegetable servings and fills me up, Special K & Fiber One bars, snack bags of popcorn, apples, oranges, etc. I really do feel better and once my back is better there is no stopping me!!! :)

Good for you, for taking your life back, that is what it is is all about. Just a thought~~ disc ARE NOT visible in a standard x-ray, they ARE visible in an MRI. I got the impression you had a standard x-ray. I speak from much experience when it comes to this subject. I have degenerative disc disease, I have had 3 surgeries, 4 disc removed, fusion, 4 more bad discs now, so I am concerned that you might have disc involvement from your symtoms, but pinched nerves can play havoc with our bodies too. Also, jaw pain could be TMJ. If in time there is no improvement you might want to get a second opinion? I feel for you with the pain you are living with. Acupunture has helped me so much but you have to find a good one. Walking also helps keep the lumbar loosened up, even walking slowly. Physical Therapy can help also. I wish you luck and keep up the good work with your eating and you gave me a great idea. I need to buy some V8, it is a fast easy veggie when I am on the run. Chronic pain wears you down but your attitude is good.
