It's so hard to accurately record them I'd say don't. You not only have to figure out how many you burned but also must subtract out calories you would have burned doing your normal activity for that hour. In the end, you've maybe added 100 calories and you may as well save those for weight loss. Hope this helps!

I read somewhere it is around 3000 calories per pound to lose. I ordered a fitbit tracker to try to capture my calorie use more effectively. I find that exercise machines and even the tracker here calculate higher than actual....

Thanks for everyone's responses. I agree with the argument about the inaccuracy of machines and trackers. The elliptical today told me I'd burned 265 calories for 35 min, the FS tracker said 248, and my pedo watch said 107. The discrepancies are pretty big. I'll probably wind up taking the lowest number each time so I don't think I burned a ton of calories when I probably didn't.
