I use an exercise ball for my desk chair at home. If I was still was working at the office, I would see if they'd let me swap my chair for a ball. Better posture, and you burn more calories sitting on it. Aaaand it's just fun. lol. Great reach too if you need something. Just extend a leg, and roll the ball towards whatever. reach for it, and roll back. :) Have a Great day!! And as long as you can laugh at yourself and it works for you. Do it!! :D Don't let the other hold you back! ^_^ 

Haha, that's a great idea but I doubt that I would be able to bring an exercise ball, we have people coming in and out all the time, it would be unprofessional, for lack of better words. I am defiantly standing though, that's not so bad, no one has told me that I can't yet, haha. 

Standing burns more calories than sitting!! :) You go girl!! I love my exercise ball. And it's great for stretching your back out. Love just to basically do a back bend over the ball. I get the 'where is your desk chair' whenever I have company over. lol. The ball stays right in front of the desk. And anyone who uses it thinks it's great! lol.  

Haha, Yes it does! I love exercise balls, I just wish I had one, I need to get one I suppose. My little brothers used my last one to play with and popped it:( lol 

I've popped 2 now. The first was 3yrs old and well used. The 2nd was 8 months old and my husband thought it would be great because it had sand in it that kept our daughter from kicking it all over the house or it just rolling where it will....bad idea. The thing popped and sand went EVERYWHERE!!!! Took weeks before I got it out of all the crevices in the room. lol. Then I got one for Christmas! :D And I'm using it now! lol. 

Man, I should have asked for one for Christmas! lol, it would have been the perfect gift!! Unfortunately, I'm poor right now, haha, I'll have to wait till friday to get one, but thank you soo much for the idea, I'm defiantly going to be using it!!

Hi there...I too have a sedentary desk job. I have several co-workers that have back issues and have chosen work stations that you can either sit or stand. Of course I work for a company that purchased these standing work stations, but they are a wonderful option. And the ball is a great idea as well. Good luck :) 

Thank you so much, standing is no biggy for me anyway, I have a habit of standing while I eat, lol, everyone thinks its weird but to me its normal. I absolutely want to try the ball though, thank youu. Good luck to you as well.  

They make chairs that the main part of it is an exercise ball. My boss has one and it does not look unprofessional.
