FernLT610's Journal, 16 January 2014

Well, it's been another difficult carb filled day, but I managed to stay under my calorie count for my RDI. I sometimes forget that I have it set to lose weight for someone who is not active. I believe it is 2200 instead of the 2000 that I am adhering to. I used ingredients that were already in my home instead of shopping for new ones. I wanted to up my calorie count so I wasn't losing muscle and I'm happy to have passed the 1400 I was going for. I need to do more research on higher calorie foods that aren't loaded with carbs, but I still want some carbs in my diet. I am not doing Atkins and want to be able to enjoy a dinner roll when I am 'maintaining' - if I ever get there.

I have also decided to hire a realtor to help me find a new place. This will take a load of stress off of me. I missed the gym yesterday because I was looking at a place out of town (my goal). And I managed my NMTZ workout today.

I don't actually know how many calories I burn doing that. I'm told to get a heart monitor. How will that calculate burned calories? Anyone familiar with this?

I think sometimes taking the time to reduce the stressors in your life is just as healthy as a good workout at the gym. You have to take care of your mental health as well as physical because the two are so closely related. Good job on your workout. Keep it up!

Thanks! I am attempting to stick to my 5 workouts a week. I like my classes at the gym because I'm more likely to finish them. If I crap out at home then I'm the only one who knows. If I crap out at the gym then I have to decide to walk out in front of 20+ people.
