Feeling really good today. I got my workout in last night even though it was a little bit later than I would have liked; I have to work off of the schedule of a 2 year old, lol. Once she was in bed I was good to go. Today is day 3 but I'm feeling like I can keep this up; I've had no sweets in the past 2 days and I don't miss them. I had a week moment yesterday when I wanted to reach in my desk drawer & get into the bag of jelly beans in there but I drank a diet coke instead and it helped with the sweet craving. I do have a question though, between the time I work out and the time I go to bed I want a snack. What would be ok to eat at this time (it's usually after supper) or should I just say no to eating?

I thought about that but what about all the sugar. I know its good sugar but when I'm trying to keep my carb count down....?

if you switch to sugar free creamers, that'll help with the carbs, I just got the coffeemate sugar free peppermint mocha, and it's pretty good - and like I've told you before, get the Pork Rinds - crunchy, salty, and NO carbs...you can get them for like $2/bag at Wallyworld

I usually buy sugar free creamer or just use milk (cause it has protein) but I was given this creamer. I'm trying not to snack at all it's just that after a workout I tend to get hungry. I know it is counter productive to eat after a workout but if I eat something smal that is high in protein and low in carbs I should be ok.

Kjack - My middle swim coach once said to eat something healthy first if you are going to eat right after a workout. Your body will be hungry and will want to store the first thing you eat - so start with a banana or some vegetables (baby carrots?). After that you can whatever you were hungry for. I don't know where she got that information, but it seems like a reasonable philosophy. :)

Thank you. I will try that, I'm not always hungry for something healthy after a workout, lol. Later in the evening it's usually ice cream.

if you're going to get ice cream, Blue Bunny has some good low carb stuff (like fudge bars, I think), so does Lucerne, if anyone sells that where you are...
