Oh my gosh, I feel so sick today. Have had a roaring headache since Saturday mid-afternoon - I realise part of that is I just haven't had time to eat enough food. Saturday by the time I got to the wedding at 1.45pm - I had not eaten a thing. Had been drinking water, but had time for nothing else. Then at the wedding there wasn't a lot I could have - ended up having 2 chicken wingettes a mini dim sim and a 1 inch square of carrot cake. Yep - not the ideal lunch. By the time we got home, I was exhausted, felt incredibly sick,and we ended up getting pizza for dinner - so not a good day Atkins wise. Would probably have stayed well under calorie wise though!
Yesterday I woke Up feeling revolting. Had church to run - got home around 2 - again had not yet eaten - and the headache had begun. I ate salad with tuna and then lay down for a nap. I woke 40 mins later with the headache pounding, and a slight temperature. Obviously I'm breeding some bug or other.
I ended up having to leave church a bit early last night as the noise was just too much for me - I was close to crying in pain. I came home and cooked myself some steak & vegies and had an Atkins bar, in an attempt to increase my carbs. I was thinking this sickness was Atkins flu.
I got well over 10 hours sleep last night and woke feeling worse than ever! Its midday now, and I haven't eaten because the thought of food makes me want to throw up, seriously. Even water makes me want to! I need to get something into me so I can take some pain killers for this headache!
So... I've lost weight the last few days, but maybe not in the most ideal manner! Have lost 1.4 kg in 5 days - not a bad start. I'm sure if I'd been following the plan better, that would have been a bigger loss, but I'll tske anything right now.
On a side note - I'm very impressed that even though I went totally off my plan for 4 weeks, I only put 4 kilos back on. I feel like my body is healing - like it's re-learning how to burn food for fuel. Not too long ago a 4 week break would have put me right back where I originally started, or higher. I'm pretty stoked that I'm still about 20lbs less than when I first started Atkins a few months ago!
Now.. for me.. back to bed.
