I have been using the Nipro TRUEplus brand ketone test strips since day one. In the beginning they registered as negative, then after a few days moved to trace, then small. I have had several days of moderate, but on the days my carb intake is up it instantly drops back to small or trace and I feel really guilty. This is a good thing as it makes me accountable and I try harder. I'm currently going through a real grouchy / spacey stage and I think its possibly because I discovered Diet Dr Pepper and Diet A&W Root Beer. I have never liked diet sodas and Im not sure I tolerate these very well. Maybe its that or carb & sugar withdrawal? Not sure but I am losing weight and inches and Im happy for that. The next step is to start an exercise program.
