No change in weight but that's better than going up, I suppose.
I did make it to the gym last night! I have a new 'perspective' that I'm trying to implement in my day to day thoughts, in regards to my health. I've decided to take the stand point of going to the gym, every day when possible. My goal is to see how much I can make my body change by simply working out as much as possible. I start off on the exercise bike for a minimum of 20 minutes. Yesterday I used the 'random' mode so that I had hills here and there to pedal against. After my 25 minutes (5 min. cool down) I then go to the women's only workout room and do the weight machines in 1 of 2 circuits. I try to alternate. I do a minimum of 12 reps. twice on each machine and try to do it on the heaviest setting that allows me to make it through my reps. Last night I felt pretty good when I left.
I'm also liking my new vitamin regimen. I feel pretty good today. I've really cut back on my lattes and am drinking decaf (for the most part) coffee. I've been averaging about 2 cups a day. Yesterday, after a heavy carb ridden lunch, I was so stinkin' tired. I realized that carbs make me tired so am trying to remember that on a daily basis as I'm sick of feeling tired all the time. I like this fresh, energetic feeling I've been having. I contribute most of it to the vitamins. I plan to order some vitamin B12 spray to replace my coffee. Mostly I like to drink coffee for something 'to do' while sitting at my desk working. Putting something flavorful in my mouth seems to appeal to me. We'll see how I do in that department.
Well, better get back to work.

Since you are working out maybe you are replacing fat with muscle. Muscle weights more than fat, and it sure looks better. Suzi

have you taken your measurements.... I was working out for 3 months-at 4-5 times per week and hadn't lost a pound, but I had lost many inches all over, maybe, that's what's happening? As for putting something flavorful in you mouth, how about gum? I do that sometimes and it helps....and if you don't mind cinnamon gum, then I read somewhere, that people are less likely to get snacks because the taste of cinnamon gum with other stuff tastes awful. just a thought :-)

as an ex weight trainer...it takes months up to a year or so for a cardio workout to effect your overall bmi...miteslur what you are doing is great and will be very effective...however you do have to give it a couple of months to be able to tell the difference in the bmi and in your muscle tone...love ya...keep it up

I don't think weight loss is ever easy no matter what diet or exercise plan you are on. It all takes time and lifestyle adjustment. My own hubbt is so very pleased with what this last year and half have done for him, he thinks this diet and lifestyle change "we" created is the best thing that ever happened to us. It just doesn't happen overnight..give it time, develop a new lifestlye for the new YOU that you want to be and WILL be. You are on the right track.

Great job on getting to the gym and making it a priority to get there "as often as possible"! :) You will see it make a huge difference fast on the scales with eating good, too. YOU can DO THIS! Keep rockin' it up, girl!
