Sick. Very intense stomach cramps last night. Better today, but I feel like I've been hit by a truck (Buffy knows all about that!). No specific exercise walking for me today. I'll be having liquids for awhile, then an early nap. We'll see how this all goes.
I have a contractor coming over at 3. I don't want to reschedule. Hopefully, DH can be home a bit early and take over the conversation/repair when he gets here.

Hate that you are sick - and to have a contractor coming over to cause stress on top of everything else. Keep in mind, they are coming to bid on the work and won't even notice any undone dusting, etc.

Buffy, I'm lucky that the contractor will be working outside on the pool's heat pump. Nothing inside, or I'd really be in a sick tizzy today!

This isn't your first repair to that pool's heater, is it? Hope they get it fixed this time.

So many bugs going around, hope you feel better soon, like by 3! I am sure you don't feel like dealing with a contractor...but a girl needs her pool...ya know!

Buffy, you remember correctly - it's not the first repair. Two years ago, they replaced a control board. The heater was already obsolete/discontinued at that time, so it was hard for them to find the part. The problem this time is a different error code that could mean leaking refrigerant, a failed switch, or a broken fan motor. The company I had 2 years ago no longer works on heat pumps, so they referred me to this other company. The new company doesn't sound real optimistic, but won't charge if they can't fix it. If it's unfixable, or if parts can no longer be found (it's 7+ years old), then we'll have to choose between no heater and a gas one, as I won't put in another heat pump. (The state requires dual licensure for someone to work on pool heat pumps and most contractors (pool or HVAC) have one license, but not the other. Makes it next to impossible to find anyone to service these things.)

GG, it really did/does feel like a bug. I had very little to eat yesterday before symptoms began and none of the food was anything new or unusual. I don't feel like dealing with a contractor today, but not only do I need my pool, I need some extra heat in it (down below 84 degrees now)!

84 degrees? That is just Yankee bath water - LOL.

I know...I've become such a wimp since moving south. I still remember the municipal swimming pool "up North" was typically 72-74 in the summer and, as kids, we thought it was just great! The Olympic swimmers have a target temp of 78. But me? Well...88-90 would be just lovely!

Bren, I know you know all about stomach pain, and mine, as bad as they were, can't compare to kidney stones. Hope you're doing better, too!
