Happy Hump Day!
Haven't been on here much the past few days. Have been doing relatively well with food (and even a little exercise) but weight is suborn. So apparently what I have been doing is not good enough.
Got to move on to the next step - but what is that next step? Lower calories? Lower carbs? Give up dairy?
The great experiment is on!

I tho't you weighed in 1 lb less this morning. What is wrong with that? I'm only down .4 this morning. So I think what you are doing is good enuf. We just have to keep at it at a stead pace. I figure if I lose 1 lb a week it is really 2 or 3 lbs that I haven't put back on.... Hang in there.

Dboza - Usually I am ecstatic to lose a pound - but I have been gaining and losing that same 1 pound for 2 weeks now. But I absolutely agree that a slow and steady pace is the best goal.

Buffy - Have you looked at my weight? I've been gaining and losing the same pounds for months. Frustrating, isn't it! I know it's my own fault because I cheat? not really the word.. maybe betray is better. I betray a plan that works for me when I stay on it... Getting below 190 is a real shot in the arm. I'm determined to stay under.

No giving up! When I get frustrated with how easy it is to gain...I try to remember where I was when I started, all the improvements to overall health & well being & all the great support here on FS. Progress is easier to see & appreciate if we look at the big picture.

dboza - yes I know it is frustrating. And I like your term "betrayal" as we are certainly betraying our belief in ourselves. Come on - lets do this!

Wouldn't it be great if ur bodies could give us a readout something like..."If you do XYZ and eat ABC, I'll drop X pounds per month." One can always dream.... Hang in there Buffy, you'll get this figured out!
