Ulnar nerve entrapment is not fun, not a damn bit. It happened 5 days ago and, being as I am with a bit of medical knowledge myself, I tried all the non-surgical things a doctor would tell you to try anyways. Taking anti-inflammatory meds (Simple ibuprofen is actually a pretty strong one in the right doses), nerve gliding exercises, immobilization with the arm mostly straight. . . yeeeea, they didn't work. The only other non-surgical option is steroids, which I got prescribed along with some norco for pain (because a trapped nerve hurts like a bitch!) on Saturday and there is still no improvement, in fact I'm rather sure it's getting worse. I've lost most of the fine motor control in my right hand, my grip strength is currently a joke, I can hardly tell where my pinky and ring finger on the right hand are and this trapped nerve sends shocks of pain down my arm from time to time.

It sucks, and that's not the worst part of it. If I do need surgery to correct it, which is rather likely at this point, then my arm is gonna be useless for the next 4-6 weeks. Sooo not looking forward to that.
