I haven't been feeling well lately. My endocrinologist put me on 100 mcg of Synthroid daily. I have heard this to be a cause for weight gain. I am following low carb just as I always have done. Hopefully I won't put on a ton of weight.

Synthroid is a thyroid hormone replacement. Low thyroid levels make people gain weight, not synthroid. You may want to research the drug online and also research hypothyroidism so that you have a better understanding of the drug and why you are taking it.

I take a Synthroid as well and the typical result would be loss not gain.

My hubby is also on this and was told it could help w/loss as well, but it didn't seem to affect him either way. My guess is that you prolly had a touch more salt than you're used to and may be retaining some water?? You've done great so far!! Keep up the great work!
